Can You Put Gas In A Plastic Bottle. No its not illegal to ask for petrol in a bottle at a petrol pump but its illegal to ask for petrol in plastic bottle. I use a nalgene bottle.works great.the soft plastic kind with the drinking spout top work great (simply squirt the fuel onto the wicks), only problem i had was with the top.
